I'm sorry but like I said before I only sell locally and I absolutely do not wire or do money transfers via western union. I'm sorry about your situation and your busy schedule but these are my conditions. If you want to have someone come out and inspect it and hand to me in cash the price I'm asking for then that's another story. If not then I feel you are wasting your time. Frankly speaking, I feel that you not being able to communicate over the phone and wanting to use western union and paypal methods sounds pretty much like a scam to me.

If you're selling on craigslist be careful! These people evidently say there going to buy and then use a fake paypal account and steal your money with the shipping fees they want you to pay for. Craigslist is a good site for selling and other sorts of things and its nice that there isn't any fees associated with the sale like with eBay and amazon but you have to be carful and sell locally!! If they don't want to talk on the phone or meet in person then look it up and see if its a scam! I'm so glad I caught this before I was scammed! Lord knows I have no money for scammers =(

Acne...again

So I had been free of acne for almost three years until this summer came along with stress from job searching, boyfriend/family troubles ect...needless to say my acne came back and isn't as worse as it was before but its back full force.

I've tried reading online to see how I can fight back because my regimen that I've been using (skin id + proactiv toner) wasn't really working anymore. Plus skin id I think might be going out of business because there website hasn't been up for the longest time and they still aren't taking new orders...so, I needed to find new products anyway. I find that I like the proactiv toner because it doesn't dry out my face and I can see it removing all the dirt that didn't come off when I washed my face...so I think I'm going to keep that in my regimen. However, as for the #14 skin id acne cleanser, #32  benzoyl peroxide  and spot treatment, I've been trying to find substitutes or better products for my face. I have oily acne prone skin, that is sometimes sensitive. Right now I'm trying The Face Shop Clean Face Cleanser, that works ok and I found this website called acne.org that has some 2.5% benzoyl peroxide in gel form that I'm ready to try. I feel that the gel form will go on easier than the skin id cream form so maybe if I try that it'll help with my acne a little.

However, using even 2.5% benzoyl peroxide has a real harsh drying effect on my face so in order to counter balance it I'm using The Face Shop Spot Corrector. It's a tea tree oil that I find is real moisturizing on my face so I'm continuing to use that as a moisturizer/spot treatment. I also find that my skin peels and I need to use a wash cloth to lightly take away the dirt or dead skin that peals off my skin after I put on the benzoyl peroxide. If I don't it just keeps building up and...yeah...

All in all I hope that with all this experimentation I can find something that works so I can go back on a regimen again.

ジャンゴ（Django）

今日「ジャンゴ」という映画を観に行った。暴力が関連している奴隷や人が苦しむ映画がちょっと嫌なので、この映画を観るのは気が進まなかったが、観てからとてもいい映画だと思った。暴力は言うまでもなく多かったが、大体のは正当化されていたので大丈夫だった。

アメリカの南部、1859年における奴隷「ジャンゴ」が主人公だ。妻を見つけ、彼女の自由を買うために「キング・シュルツ」という賞金稼ぎに協力して、賞金稼ぎの仕事と同時に妻を探しているという映画だ。

映画について他の人の印象はどうだろうかとインターネットで調べはじめると、ちょっと不快な印象が生じるという意見があることを知った。映画では時代と合わせて人種的な中傷がかなり多いのでその印象が生じたのかもしれない。

個人的な印象だが、映画を観ながらあまり侮辱を感じなかった。その時代を正しく描くためにその汚い言葉を使う必要があったと理解し、私はその時代の不公平を認めると同時に映画の話を楽しんだだけだ。

とにかく、いい映画を観たかったら、オススメです。

文法５課

「〜限り」という表現、文法的な使い方はいっぱいあるよ！

1）〜に限り（〜だけは特別だ・例外だ）
　　体の不自由な方に限り、この場所の使用は許可されています。

2）〜限り（は）（〜の状態が続いている間だけは、同じ状態が続く）
　　この番組を見ている限り、いつも考えさせる。

説明と添削：「情報源の範囲」の例文です。「同じ状態が続く」例文なら
「授業に毎日出席している限り、落第はない。」という文がふさわしい。

Japanese grammar and more studying

 So I've been going through my N2 grammar book taking in lesson by lesson to try and learn more of the grammar expressions in hopes of refreshing my Japanese writing skills while also trying to build on studying for the N1 exam. I took the N2 exam in December but I'm not sure if I passed or not. Just from taking the test however, I don't think that I did =( so I'll probably have to retake the exam again in Japan before attempting to take the N1 exam. I don't mind though since its good exam practice...plus I'll be studying towards the N1 ultimately anyway. However, it will be a big morale drop for me if I don't pass...but I'll just have to suck it up and try again! Hopefully the results will come soon.

The time is steadily approaching for me to pack my bags and head for Japan. It just feels like yesterday when I signed the contract in December...and it feels like a week ago when I was talking about going with my boyfriend during the summer. Time goes by so fast...I just hope I'll be ready to leave in March. I know I will tear up a little bit and its ironic because I was balling my eyes out when I had to come back early from my study abroad in Japan...and now I'm saying I'm going to be tearing up when I go back. It's just that a lot has happened since then....got a boyfriend...helped him get a job and be somewhat self sufficient...my family well is my family and I'll miss them...I guess since things have somewhat changed I feel like I have something that's worth staying for. But I know that I need to do this to better myself so I'll just have to adapt and make it through. It'll be hard but I know my family...and boyfriend's support will get me through the tough times...hopefully anyway. By the time I leave Japan, I hope to have a little money saved and an acceptance letter into graduate school in Japan. 文法問題集の説明と例：「からして」という表現は〜という例一つを取ってもそうなのだから、全体的にももちろんそうだという意味だ。問題の本質や重要なポイントでないことを例として取り上げる。後には、マイナス評価の文が来るのが多い。
例：「私はどうも猫が苦手で。あの光る目からして何となく怖い感じがする。

3）〜にわたって
　　４日間にわたる発表会がやっと終了しました。

4）〜通じて・〜通して
表現A：〜期間ずっと同じ状態だ。
　　５年間を通じて町を訪れる観光客が多い。

二つ目の文の添削と説明：この文が不自然な感じします。文法的に詳しいことが分かりませんが、「このかた」の後は否定の文が来るのが自然と思います。例えば「私は生まれてこのかた、一度も飛行機に乗ったことがない。」などです。

5）〜からでないと・てからでなければ
　　事実を確かめてからでないと、事実が本当かどうか判断できない。

　町をぶらぶらしている最中に、雨が降り出した。

表現A：時間の制限があって、その時間が過ぎた後では実現が難しいから、その前にしてしまうことを表現する場合。

アドバイス：この文には「〜うちに」という表現は間違っていないけど、「間に」の表現がもっとふさわしい。

文法1課と今年の抱負

文法１課：

文法を再開するにあたり、下記の五つの文章をそれぞれの文法形式にあわせて書きました。

1）〜際(に)
　図書館のコンピュータを利用する際に、個人的なパスワードとユーザ名を作る必要があ　る。

2）〜に際して・〜にあたって
　新しい店を開くに際して、バスや電車の広告スペースを買う。

添削：新しい店を開くにあたって、バスや電車の広告を買う。
説明：意味的には問題ありませんが、ここでは「あたって」の方がより自然だと思います。あくまで私の意見ですが、「に際して」は名詞の前にくる時に使う気がします。
文法本の説明：名・動(辞書形）の前にくる可能性　「〜にあたって」は、より積極的な行動を表す言葉につく。

3）〜たとたん(に)
　大学生だった時、授業にいつも遅れていた人が、卒業して、就職採用されたとたんに真　面目で几帳面な人に変わった。
Speakers hopes, will or actions do not follow this grammar structure. Verbs that usually show some type of change （変わるなど）follow.

4) 　〜（か）と思うと・〜（か）と思ったら
　犬を洗ったと思ったら、すぐまた汚くなった。

添削１：犬かと思ったら、猫だった。
添削２：今洗ったかと思ったら、もう犬は泥だらけになってしまった。
Sentences about the speakers actions aren't used in this grammatical structure. Afterwards, sentences will an element of surprise usually follow.

5)　〜か〜ないのうちに
　ご飯を食べ、テレビをつけたかつけないかのうちにソファーでぐっすり眠ってしまっ　　た。

添削と説明：文法や意味に問題ないと思います。ただ、「テレビをつけたかつけないかのうちに〜した。」という表現は少し違和感があります。きっと、テレビがついた以上は、テレビをつける方が寝るよりも確実に先に行われた事が明白だからだと思います。「〜か、〜ないかのうちに」はどちらが先か分からない状況でよく使用されます。
例：彼は一本のタバコを吸い終わるか終わらないかのうちに、次のタバコに火をつけた。
＝彼は一本のタバコを吸い終わるか否かというところで、次のタバコに火をつけた。

今年と来年の抱負：

今年の抱負は昨日考えたんですが、３月にある仕事を頑張って働きながらN1の勉強をし始めようと思っています。N2の試験に合格したかどうかまだ分からないけど、私は将来に日本で大学院生になりたいです。南山大学の国際研究プログラムに入ることを目指しています。昨日南山の大学院入試部にどういった条件で外国人が大学院のプログラムに入るのかという問い合わせを出し、学士とともに外国人がN1試験に合格しないといけないという返事がきました。なので、今年と来年の抱負はN1の試験に合格し、南山大学の国際研究プログラムに入る事です。すごく大変な事だと思うけど、日本語の勉強を続けたくて、読む事と書く事をもっと上達したいのでN1の勉強や大学院の勉強を通してきっと重い通り流暢に話せると思っています。さらに、大学院を卒業すれば、就職採用されるチャンスが増えるので入ってみたいんです。

簡単な日本料理

私は３月にまた日本に行きますが、今回は一人暮らしで、自分で料理を作ります。日本にいるので日本料理を作ろうを思っているのですがどうやってレシピを調べるのか、何の料理を作ればいいのか、さっぱり分からないので誰か簡単な料理のレシピがありましたら是非教えてください。私はスープや鶏肉料理が好きで、30~40分でできる料理が理想です。皆さんは仕事の後で家で料理をよくしますか。するなら、どんな料理を作りますか。私は留学生だったとき、外食の他によく炒め物やパスタを作りました。でも、今回は外食のお金がほとんどないから食事は大体家で作るしかないんです。なので、アドバイスやレシピサイトのリンクや自分のレシピがありましたら、教えて頂けませんか。よろしくお願いします。

Goals for 2013 and beyond

Thinking about this job in Japan and my future, I've decided to set some goals for myself in hopes of achieving a better me. Since I've majored in Japanese I do want to make a career out of it. However my Japanese is still lacking so I need to study more. With this job in Japan I hope to practice Japanese and also study to pass any language proficiency exams I need to get into graduate school. So, here are my goals:

1) Work for 1~2 years in Japan and save money for school while studying for the Japanese language exam.

2) Start studying for the N1 language proficiency exam and if not this year than next year aim at passing the exam.

3) Get accepted into the Nanzan University International Studies graduate program.

These three goals might take a while (4 years maybe) and a lot of effort but its better to have goals and work toward something than wander aimlessly through life not knowing what you want to do. I'm thinking that with an MA in International Studies along with my BA in Japanese studies, it should open up more doors for me in the job market...hopefully anyway.

緊急の対策

３月にあるが日本を襲ったとき、私は東京にいた。人生で初めて経験した地震だけど、いうまでもなく怖かった。土曜日の一時半ごろ新宿でヒップホップダンスレッスンをしていた。そのレッスンは１７階のビルで行いましたが、最初にビルが少し揺れたとき、日本人の 皆さん気にしていなかった。ストレッチの途中でやめて見回したら、私だけが心配な表情で「まぁ、大丈夫かなー」と考えた。

でも、ビルの揺れがどんどんひどくなり、皆は普通の地震と違うことに気づいてパニックが起こりました。「ここで本当に死ねか」という考えが心の中に流れ、死に直接していると思っていた。

とりあえず、ダンスの皆は無事だったが東北地域では地震に続いて大津波を襲った。地震の日の夜の津波被害を新宿の大型テレビで見たのを今まではっきり覚えている。津波のせいでたくさんの死者がでたが二度と死者がないように津波災害の対策はいったいどうなっているのだろうか。県にある特別なビルに行ったり避難したりするのだろうか。３月みたいな大津波がまた日本を襲ったら、どうするのだろうね。

地震や津波災害の対策はあまり分からないので、日本にまた行ったらちょっと心配です。なので、もしこの日記を読んだら考えやアドバイスを教えて頂けませんか。

私もこの地震の時は千葉（東京から一時間のところ）にいました。すごい揺れでしたね。私たち日本人でも怖いと思う揺れだったので、Asheliさんはとっても怖かっただろうと思います。海の近くにいるときは地震が起きたらもちろん津波に 気をつけなくてはいけません。地元の方なら訓練をよくしているはずです。助けを求めましょう。そこの一番高台を教えてくれるか、最善の方法を教えてくれるでしょう。都心であれば最近の建物であれば、耐震であると思うので、机の下などに揺れて揺れが収まるのを待ってくださいね。あとは、周りの方に従ってくださいね。アドバイスになっているかどうか分かりませんが・・・日本の事を心配してくれてありがとうございます＾＾☆

日本では地震は日常の一部です。もちろん、昨年３月のような大きい災害はめったにありませんが、同じぐらいの大きさのものは数年〜十数年に１回程度あります。

• 地震が起きたら、まず机など、丈夫な物の下に隠れる。（上から物が落ちてきても机が守ってくれるから）
• 次に、揺れが収まったら運動場など外に逃げる。（建物は壊れたり閉じ込められたりする心配があるから）
• 津波の可能性がある場合は海から離れた高い場所（丘など、地面が高い場所）に行く。
• 丘などがない、または遠い場合は、高い建物のできるだけ上に行く。

こういった基本知識は、幼稚園の頃から教えられます。私の幼稚園では、イスに置くクッションが帽子型になっていて地震の時にはクッションを頭にかぶって逃げるように教えられました。

たとえばあなたが旅行者で、TVを見ていなかったとしても大きな災害の場合には駅や美術館、ショッピングセンターでも必ず災害時の避難場所が設定されています。学校や市民グラウンドなどの場合が多いです。どこへ逃げるべきか分からない場合は、まずは周りの人と同じ方向へ逃げてください。おそらく、周りの人たちは上に書いたような基本知識をもとに、最善と思われる場所へ向かっているはずです。

長文になってしまいましたが、地震が多くても津波が来ても日本人は日本で普通に暮らしています。あまり心配せずに日本にいらしてください。

Asheliさんも、あの地震を体験されていたのですね。とても怖かったと思いますが、それでも「もう日本はイヤだ」と思わずにいてくれてありがとうございます。

Hey! So its been awhile since I've written so I've decided to stop being lazy and try to start writing again. I happened to cross by this video in my Japanese studies and I thought it was a very good speech by Yamamoto Taro. He's a Japanese actor that ran for office in an effort to progress the anti-nuclear movement happening in Japan right now. In his speech he says a lot of things that ring true not only in Japan but in the US and probably a lot of other countries as well. He talks about the media and how it can be a dangerous and scary thing. One might wonder how this can be true when all the media does is enlighten the people about what's going on in the world and in their communities...or that's what its suppose to do anyway. 

Taro states many times in his speech that the media, like everything else is corrupt. It's corrupted by money. Information that is shown on TV and other media networks aren't always the truth but manipulated by investors, corporations and people running the network. In the case of Japan, a lot of news networks lied to the Japanese people about how bad the 3/11 nuclear disaster was and put a lot of lives in jeopardy. It's scary because even now the media could be lying to these people about how safe the food is and other health risks associated with the nuclear disaster. This is not only in Japan though! We all know that here in America as well the news and media lies about what actually is going on with various issues. I don't want to sound like a conspiracist but its obvious that everything isn't really transparent when it comes to politics, government, money and cooperations. Another line in his speech that really struck me was when he said that we the people are the 99%, and 99% of the population being sacrificed for the 1% is just not possible, illogical even. We have to fight to unveil the truth and protect life. Protect the lives of our families and loved ones.

Taro also says something that I really liked in his speech. He said that a country that can't protect its children can't move forward because the children are the future of the country. In context with Taro, he was talking about protecting Japanese children from radiation, and other harmful effects that nuclear reactors and energy in general. I just found this especially touching because here in America we aren't doing a good job of protecting our children either. With the incident in Connecticut and how little babies, no more than six are gunned down in their own school...a place that's suppose to be safe...its just unacceptable and shouldn't be able to happen.

Anyway, I just thought that this speech not only connected with the anti-nuclear movement in Japan but with other issues as well in America and perhaps in other countries as well.
